SOQUEL, SANTA CRUZ COUNTY — CALIFORNIA58 LOCAL. Soquel Creek Water District’s October 6 construction update lists the Pringle Tank in Soquel among reservoirs scheduled for exterior recoating in fall 2026. The tank work is part of a broader Fairway Tank rehabilitation contract.
What residents should know
The district identifies ESM as the contractor for the program and says work on Pringle Tank begins October 6, while the wider program extends through May 2027. Other affected facilities are located in La Selva Beach.
Protective coatings help maintain tanks exposed to weather and can reduce deterioration of infrastructure. The scope varies from tank to tank; the district lists interior and exterior work on the Fairway reservoir and exterior recoating at Pringle and other locations.
Residents near a work area may see equipment or contractor vehicles during the district’s usual 8 a.m.–5 p.m. construction window, subject to project notices. The schedule may change because of weather and field conditions.
An announced construction start is not proof that all coatings have cured, testing is finished or the larger project has been accepted. Check the district’s live project page for later updates.
